So much has been said
On the nature of daylight
Sweet thoughts in one’s head
Soft music by handwrite
From a firefly’s flight
To the glow of a candle
Patio lanterns delight
Sun dances on sand hills
Life’s animation
Without which, there’s no show
Daylight is creation
The Big Bang . . . and presto!

Posted by Maggie | June 29, 2026, 8:45 PMThe snow fell
not exciting
as it was
in my past memory
I saw snow
some November before
Thanksgiving
long ago
the wind murmuring
gentle encouragements
to the last leaves
still on branches
falling down
like they should
This wet snow
melted
as soon as it alighted
on the chilled glass
at speed
shape transmuted from
complex to oblate
falling up
the windscreen
This is all wrong
it’s not supposed to
be this way
times have changed
simplified
all nuance gone
denotation
without connotation
falling out
of these times
As the snow fell
all the joy removed
as it will be
in my future memory
