This week let’s write a poem where we incorporate the titles of six books pulled at random from my shelves. The titles are:
Carve the Runes
For Instance
Harping On
In the Palm of your Hand
Seeking the Hook
Teahouse of the Almighty
This is a prompt that Living Poetry’s founder, Angelika, regularly gives us during Germination Workshops and I am surprised at how consistently this prompt inspires superior poetry. You don’t have to incorporate them all and, if you ever feel in need of a prompt, you can always raid your own bookshelves.
Just don’t forget to post your poem in the comments below.
