Monday Poetry Prompt: Change, Deal, Extreme

This week let’s write a poem with the words change, deal and extreme in it. This is another of those prompts where I randomly choose three words from a list of the top 1000 words in the English language plus a few of my favorites. Since I couldn’t come up with a good image for those three words, here’s a picture of a cat in a Halloween costume. Post your poems in the comments below.

  1. Change the climate. Go!
Deal with the cost of success
    Weather to the extreme

  2. Embracing Change

In the realm of life’s ceaseless range,
We navigate the winds of change,
    Confronting challenges, big and small,
Adapting to them, one and all.

With each new day, a different deal,
We find our strength, we learn to heal,
Embracing shifts, both subtle and bold,
For in change’s embrace, we unfold.

Sometimes we face extremes so vast,
Testing our will, pushing us fast,
But within those trials, we find our might,
    And emerge transformed, shining bright.

So let us embrace life’s shifting tide,
With open hearts, we shall abide,
For in change’s dance, we truly see,
The power of growth and possibility.
