This week’s prompt: “all of life is a story” (after Joseph Campbell)
Make up a story (or your own fantastical life-story), give it an arc, a beginning, middle and end; think about a moral for the story.
- The try it in different poetic forms: prose poem, ballad, epic poem (those allow for longwinded story telling).
- Then try it in short condensed forms 1/2 page free verse, sonnet, rhyming hymn poem.
- Become aware of the effect that form has on a topic.
- Pick your favorite form.
