Monday Poetry Prompt: Field, Game, Husband

This week let’s write a poem with the words field, game and husband in it. This is another of those prompts where I randomly choose three words from a list of the top 1000 words in the English language plus a few of my favorites. Post your poems in the comments below.

it’s an open field isn’t it?

    relationships and such,

a game where rules shift, based on appearances, appetite and desire.

it’s where a husband is possibly gained, won, or stolen or lost but the best of the lot are those who perhaps are kept, retained and still loved over an over again, those who stood loyal

    in spite of the game

having played and learned that perhaps there are things in life that shouldn’t be played and toyed with.
