Posted by Bartholomew Barker | July 6, 2026, 8:52 PMTwo little boys
Aged five and ten
Heard a story of way back when
Their dad and a friend
Met their end.
It’s only a well they said to each other
But remembered the warnings from their mother
Don’t go near the horrid thing
You could disappear or even fall in
The story was told that their missing dad
And his friend…keep on, it gets sad
They believed the rumor that under the water
A treasure lurked and so went in after
They slid down an old rope
That had been there for years
Which promptly shredded
Against the rocky slope
The two men weren’t heard of again
And for all the times of tears
No one dared to go down and look
The two hunters’ lives are forsook.
Lucky for the littles the well was now sealed
The mystery still serves, where are the two men, will it be revealed?
