Monday Poetry Prompt: Art, Destroy, Laugh

Two people breaking artwork with a mallet and canvas amid colorful debris and onlookers in an art studio

This week let’s write a poem with the words art, destroy and laugh in it. This is another of those prompts where I randomly choose three words from a list of the top 1000 words in the English language plus a few of my favorites. Post your poems in the comments below.

we laugh at situations that ignite bombs?

cry at the results and the destruction brought about

we view the art that told us the truth the ugly and the beautiful, the real and abstract of this world.

yet, with glassy eyes and empty minds we stood, chattering, tinkering taking no action to make the world better.
