This week let’s write a poem with the words bee, charge and likely in it. This is another of those prompts where I randomly choose three words from a list of the top 1000 words in the English language plus a few of my favorites. Post your poems in the comments below.

The Charge
There’s likely to bee
a large charge to the flowers.
Much humming and flapping
to get the best table
for nectar and color,
and drink in the summer today.

Posted by nolchafox | July 17, 2023, 8:16 PMDon’t swat at the bee
and cause it to charge,
for you never know
where the swarm is likely to be!

She is likely to forget
and that will be her charge
that thing
that one thing
she did not wish to forget

Posted by Dan | July 19, 2023, 7:41 AMOkay, I realized after hitting send that I wasn’t finished, so to be true to the prompt, PLEASE permit this completed version. (See, this is what happens when I haven’t had my coffee yet)
So much buzzing in her head
She is likely to forget
and that will be her charge
that thing
that one thing
she did not wish to forget
But does a bee ever forget his love of honey?
Even when the flowers fade away
No, I think not
