Monday Poetry Prompt: Patient

This week let’s write a patient poem. In this context, “patient” is the adjective meaning to be willing or able to wait. Show us someone or something that illustrates patience. Don’t rush! But still post your poem in the comments below.

Bartholomew Barker is an organizer of Living Poetry, where he has hosted monthly workshops for more than decade. His first poetry collection, Wednesday Night Regular, written in and about strip clubs, was published in 2013. His second, Milkshakes and Chilidogs, a chapbook of food inspired poetry was served in 2017.     Straight out of the blue
    The wishes we’ve made
    Will all come true

    They’ll set us free
    Limitations no more
    Patience is key
