Monday Poetry Prompt: Whim

This week let’s write a whim poem. Ever done something on a whim that turned out to be a big mistake? Or did it end up being the best thing ever? Or was it merely whimsical? Post your whimsies in the comments below.

    So, there we were
    Bob and me
    again
a cavalcade of bottles in front of us

“It sound like a good plan… you should go”
and off to Salsiccia he went.

I’m sure it worked out for him.

    It was on my list
but I never thought it would
    be a thing for real
    until Emerald Isle’s waters
    surrounded my bare behind
    whimsical? I think so
    fun? You betcha!
    Do it again?
    Splish Splash!

    On a Whim?
    It seems sometimes
if not for a whim, nothing,
not a thing would I have done
planning was not a strong suit
had never worked out when I did
so why bother to plan and fret
or stay home and do naught
it’s more fun to just do
    a whole life of whim!
