So much depends upon the Monday Poetry Prompt

red-2553011_1280.jpg

This week let’s do something a little different. I trust you all know the great William Carlos Williams‘ poem The Red Wheelbarrow:

so much depends
upon

a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens

Let’s imitate this poem by stealing the first four words then letting our poetic imagination run wild. Post your dependencies in the comments below.

    So much depends
    upon

    quiet
    photosynthesis

    in the greenhouse
    glazed red with

    tomatoes beside
    the Mars mission

    so much depends
    upon staying devoted
    to tasks at hand
    to stock the wood
    for the winter
    making sure faucets have mittens
    that birds have seeds
    all this and more
    depends on reliable transportation
good there is a wheel barrow

    Hi all,
I’m new here so sharing for the first time. I hope no one minds that two actually flowed out, so I included both.

    So much depends
    upon

    our willingness
to see things as they are

    not as we wished
    they would be

    And…

    So much depends
    upon

    our willingness
    to take the first step

    trusting that
the wind will push us forward
