Monday Poetry Prompt

This week’s prompt: pickle(s)

You could write about how pickles taste or distaste, how they are an essential part of the southern cuisine, how making pickles was your favorite pastime with your Mom or Grandma…

Or you could write about being in a pickle and how you got out of it.

Happy Writing!

  1. Pickles

    We’re in quite a pickle,
here in the good ole U. S. of A.

    Our body politic
    once a fresh firm cucumber
    has been swimming
    in the green vinegar
    of unlimited bribery
    with corporate money
    until well past sour.

    Can a vegetable
    be unpickled?
