This week’s prompt: personify an inanimate object
The ‘thing’ could be something you handle everyday in your household or work. Something dear or dreaded. It could be something from nature, a stone, a leave.
Give is life, give it a voice, a perspective, a view.
If you are having trouble getting started, alternatively, you can give an inanimate object human qualities, like Mary Oliver did in her poem ‘In Your Hands‘.
Happy Writing!
PS:
This is the last prompt from Living Poetry until May.
As we enter April: National Poetry Month (Yeah!), we typically follow Robert Lee Brewer and his Poem A Day challenge. He posts a daily prompt on his Writer’s Digest blog ‘Poetic Asides’. Use that as your inspiration for the day.
