Monday Poetry Prompt

This week’s prompt: write about used books OR used book stores used-books-store

There is something special about used books. Someone before you has already loved the booked, cherished or hated it. I love it when the book contains underlines and comments in the margins – an imaginary conversation with a stranger. When I buy books on Amazon I often intentionally buy used books and go for the ‘acceptable category’.

used-booksSame with second hand book stores… often these books are more revered than new books in stores. These book stores have a special atmosphere, haunted, accompanied, crowded, like every book has a story to tell besides the one between its covers.

Happy Writing!
