This week’s prompt: write about used books OR used book stores

There is something special about used books. Someone before you has already loved the booked, cherished or hated it. I love it when the book contains underlines and comments in the margins – an imaginary conversation with a stranger. When I buy books on Amazon I often intentionally buy used books and go for the ‘acceptable category’.

Same with second hand book stores… often these books are more revered than new books in stores. These book stores have a special atmosphere, haunted, accompanied, crowded, like every book has a story to tell besides the one between its covers.
