Monday Poetry Prompt

This week’s prompt: found key

Say you find an old key, imagine what it would open and reveal to you… an old drawer forever locked, a barn door, a keyhidden broom cupboard, a wooden box… what treasures and secrets do these places hide?

Would you go seek the key whole? If you found it, would you open it? Or would you keep the key simply as a symbol?

What about the key you’ve thrown into the deep ocean of your subconscious never to unlock a chamber inside you?

Happy Writing!
