Poetry Prompts

Monday Poetry Prompt (in the guise of Tuesday)

For this weeks prompt: write an ‘on the mend’ poem

How does it feel to have your partial faculties back, say, after a head cold? Do you focus on the stuff you still cannot do? Or have you gained a new appreciation for the full range of activities we are capable of when not sick?

Of course, someone else could be on the mend, a child, parent or pet. With the first sunlight touching the paper in years, a poem could be on the mend after decaying sickly in your drawer. What else could be on the mend?

Happy Writing!
