Monday Poetry Prompt

This week’s prompt: “your voice is sand scattered in wind”.Sand
This is the last line in the poem ‘Afterword’ by Louise Glueck. I thought it was striking to think of my voice as sand that scatters in the wind.

Does this statement have a positive or negative connotation to you? Does the metaphor relate for you to the rose pedals of the rumor mill or rather cross-continental fertilization?

Your poem could be impersonal or it could be about your own voice.

Happy Writing!
