Monday Poetry Prompt

This week’s prompt: write an Alba / Aubade or an Ode

DawnAn Aubade is a love song sung at dawn. The setting at dawn usually plays a role in the poem.

If you are not so much into love songs, pick the Ode, which sings the praise of a person or object, such as Shelley’s Ode to the West Wind or Keats’ Ode to the Grecian Urn.

There are no form constraints. However, these forms typically rhyme as they are ‘songs’.

Happy Writing!
