Monday Poetry Prompt

This week’s prompt: honor a memento. mementos

Make a list of the things you have kept from a long time ago, maybe a teddy bear or a doll from childhood, maybe you still have your very first fortune cookie snippet in your wallet, maybe you kept something from your first love…
Think about why you still have it, what meaning has it to you… is it still meaningful today?

Pick one of our mementos and make it the title of your poem. Then write about why you can’t let it go.

If you have no such mementos, then write a poem on this prompt: ‘we agreed, no photographs’.

Happy Writing!
