Today’s prompt is to write a dodoitsu. This Japanese poetic form consists of four lines with the syllabic structure 7-7-7-5 and no rhyme, often concerns love or work, and are usually comical.
Here’s my attempt:
surrounded by men all day
in suits or construction hats
tossing pleasantries like lures
but I never bite
These poems are small, so feel free to post yours in the comments section.
Okay…I messed up again…
And this is why I can’t wait to learn more 🙂

My apologies for my first post! Here is 7-7-7-5
The truth in knowledge has this man
And simply did he answer
Confounded me I admit
God! He disappeared!!

You enjoy my company
You’re all hands and goo-goo eyes
Until we get home
