This week let’s write a poem with the words plan, go and consonance in it. This is another of those prompts where I randomly choose three words from a list of the top 1000 words in the English language plus a few of my favorites. (Yes, consonance is one of my favorites.) Post your poems in the comments below.

Of Two Minds
I can’t make a decision.
I’m hot and cold at once.
I’m not in consonance with me.
I argue with myself.
I cannot go with my own plans.
I won’t agree with me.
And so I watch dust bunnies grow,
and spiders build their webs.
I’m stuck in my easy chair.
I’ve not been up in years.

We made a plan to see the penguins in Antarctic.
The consonance of love would melt every ice and smooth every snow storm.
Ten years have passed, and we let go of that dream.
We watched penguins on YouTube instead while we tried to contain the internal chaos to stop it from escalating to another argument of the day.
