A little off-kilter, but here you go:

    Thugs

Subtlety goes out for coffee when he opens up his mouth.

No one wants to die from a stampede of thoughtless blurts.

Imagination never thought to open up his eyes.

Shades of gray he cannot see.

Prejudice and naivete beat him black and blue.

He’s a victim of his own thoughts.

    Heart clad in amour

    I could never tell if

eyes staring up and over horizons

    everything beneath

remaining but the dirt under your feet

    Ready for battle

    ready for rage

    but never

    never

    ready for love

    the true conqueror of all
