    He had a gift.
    A certain … style
    or way about him.

    He strode confidently,
    every room he entered,
    his stage.

    Every eye,
    its gaze,
    in engrams recording
    the color of his clothes,
    his posture, its pose,
    every feature of his face.

    He took his place,
    behind the lecturn,
    grasped the mic,
    held it firm,
    then burst into tears.

    Why had she spurned him
    with her death.
    A sentence,
    he could not speak.

    Double Oops

I trip upon a doggie toy,
    it hits my coffee cup.
    The coffee spills
    and stains the rug.
    I discover what goes down
    can be a bother
    to clean up.

    slivers of sunshine
    illuminate shady corners
leads to discovery of lost items
    and dust bunnies
