Bartholomew Barker is one of the organizers of Living Poetry, a collection of poets and poetry lovers in the Triangle region of North Carolina. Born and raised in Ohio, studied in Chicago, he worked in Connecticut for nearly twenty years before moving to Hillsborough where he makes money as a computer programmer to fund his poetry habit.
I also have some old hot air balloons but wrote a new one for your prompt Bartholomew. 😊

Look up and see
beautiful ballons
carrying my soul to drift
far far away
on a breeze
free
Just make sure that
the ballon isn’t made in China
floating over Montana
or you’re swim in waters
of South Carolina
cold

A great prompt photo Bart …and it reminded me of this one I did 3 years ago …

Very nice. I figured that this would be an “easy” prompt. I know I’ve got a couple of balloon poems in my archives.
