    We two
    held apart from each other
only by the thinness of a wire
    sparkle
a molten shower from your soul
    ignites me
as together we put on a lightshow
for all who wish to see
    but truly
    only for each other

    Dirt coated, bare feet
    Cool, dusk misted grass
    Waiting with suspended stick
One by one, daddy lights the tip
    With his fresh filled Zippo
    Mesmerized by the sparkle
    I gently swirled the stick
    Grinning with delight
    Packing this memory
    In my soul
    Now I still remember
    What it’s like
    To hope
    For sparks
    In a much older life
    Zippo had the right idea

    Frizzle
    Little sparkles
    Make my birthday
    Happy, cheery and beautiful
