This week’s prompt: ‘Far & Near’

Perform a literary zoom on a scene, first describing the scene from some distance and then zooming in and describing details you can only detect when you are close up (or visa versa: first close up and then zoom out).

This could be a nature scene (the other side of a lake, mountains, the horizon…) or it could be industrial/people oriented (people watching in a mall or street cafe; watching buildings or highways from a car) or it could be figuratively (last year, today; high school sweetheart, partner today) or …
