For today’s prompt, try your hand at a poetic form called a pensée. This form consists of 5 lines with the following syllable structure: 2-4-7-8-6. Each poem follows this scheme
- Line 1 is the subject
- Line 2 gives description
- Line 3, action
- Line 4, the setting
- Line 5, final thought

Pensee, October 13
Coffee,
steaming and hot,
gives rise to the morning clouds
sailing across my waking mind.
